Summary

Maintains and improves electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems in a petrochemical plant, including DCS, PLC, and safety-critical equipment, while managing maintenance programs and budgets.

Job Role and Responsibilities:

  • In-charge of Electrical, Instrumentation, DCS, PLC, Automation machines, facility & etc
  • Manage in planning and execution of plant turnaround activities to ensure activities are been executed in safe manner, within schedule & budget.
  • Involve in various HSEQ management system.
  • Work closely with the Production, HSSEI, laboratory and Supply chain divisions.
  • Lead, develop, schedule preventive and predictive maintenance programs for Electrical, Instrumentation, DCS, PLC and Automation machines to maintain/improve reliability.
  • Support Manager in planning of yearly budget for capital expenditure, contribute ideas and budget for improvement in equipment reliability and long-term sustainability.
  • Schedule and implement capital expenditure projects.
  • Develop and schedule the long-term maintenance plan to maintain/improve plant reliability.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis on critical or repeated equipment issues.
  • Manage instruments & equipment calibrations and maintain updated documents (ISO).
  • Manage plant Ex-proof equipment to ensure they are certified and fit for use.
  • Manage maintenance work procedures, instructions and Risk Assessments.
  • Manage maintenance and facilities contract activities.
  • Manage maintenance work request by using Software program – NetSuite.
  • Manage maintenance spare parts, including manage spare part MRP, procurement & parts yearly stock take (Software program – NetSuite).
  • Manage site works and coordinate with contractors & suppliers.
  • Perform site hands-on repair on equipment. (If required)
  • Plan training for team to enhance their work competency.

Job Requirement

  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical/instrument Engineering from a reputed institution.
  • More than 5 years working experience in petrochemical industry.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, electrical single line & control diagrams, PLC & DCS program.
  • Good computer knowledge, with hands-on experience in MS office applications (MS Excel, Word, Power point, etc.)
  • Good interpersonal skills with strong communication skills.
  • Proactive, independent and team player.
