Engineering Manager Credit Card Payments

You will lead a team building the Card Payments platform in NORAM, shape credit card payment strategy, guide scalable and resilient technical solutions, coach engineers, foster a high-performing culture, partner with product managers, and direct architectural decisions.

Responsibilities

• Author the NORAM credit card payments strategy
• Balance product delivery with platform scalability, resilience, and maintainability
• Lead and develop a diverse software engineering team
• Coach and mentor engineers
• Provide technical mentorship and feedback
• Partner with Product Managers on scalable technical solutions
• Guide architectural discussions
• Facilitate architectural decisions
• Balance engineering quality with business priorities

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience managing cross-functional engineering teams
• 7+ years of software development experience
• Experience leading and developing software engineering teams
• Strong software engineering background in large-scale distributed systems
• Experience with Java or similar backend technologies
• Experience building payment systems or working in the card payments ecosystem is desirable
• Experience with authorization, routing, card schemes, or issuer and acquirer integrations
