Engineering Manager
A) Job Description:
- Lead and manage the Technical & BIM modelling team for Permanent Structural Steel projects.
- Review projects pecifications, structural drawings, tender documents, and technical requirements.
- Plan, monitor, and control detailing schedules to ensure timely submission of GA drawings, shopdrawings, fabrication drawings, and erection drawings.
- Review and approve steel detailing drawings before submission for fabrication and construction.
- Review clash detection across architectural, structural, and M&E models before on-siteconstruction begins
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Consultants, Clients, Production, Procurement, QA/QC, and Site teams on technical and detailing matters.
- Provide technical support and resolve engineering and detailing issues throughout projectexecution.
- Ensure all drawingscomply with project specifications, contract requirements, SS EN 1090,Eurocodes, and relevant Singapore standards.
- Review and optimizestructural connections, fabrication methods, and constructability to improveproductivity and reduce costs.
- Support tender,value engineering, and design development activities where required.
- Monitor design changes and ensure timely implementation into fabrication drawings.
- Lead, coach, and develop the Technical & BIM modelling team to improve technical competencyand work quality.
- Develops and manages the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) for projects.
- Establish andimprove detailing procedures, standards, and quality control processes.
- Prepare technical reports, project updates, and recommendations for management review
B) Job Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a relateddiscipline.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in structural steel engineering and detailing.
- At least 3 years of experience in a managerial or team leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of structural steel detailing,fabrication, and erection processes.
- Proficient in Tekla Structures and AutoCAD.
- Familiar with SS EN 1090, Eurocodes, BCArequirements, and Singapore structural steel standards.
- Experience in reviewing shop drawings,fabrication drawings, and connection detailing.
- Good understanding of steel fabrication methods,welding processes, and site installation requirements.
- Strong leadership, planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and able to liaise effectively with clients, consultants, and internal departments.
- Able to manage multiple projects and meet tightproject deadlines.
- Experiencein BIM coordination and other structural engineering software will be an added advantage.
Working Hours :9am - 6pm
