Description

Key Responsibilities

The Engineering Manager leads engineering activities across Re-Teck's plants and third-party partner sites in North America (NA plants & 3rd parties).

Based in the DFW area, this role is responsible for optimizing production flow, layout, efficiency, and cost; introducing new projects and setting up production lines; developing and executing a forward-looking (To-Be) enhancement plan for North America operations; and aligning North America practices with global standards to achieve the goals set by top management and our customers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Multi-Site Engineering Management (North America)

  • Manage day-to-day engineering matters across Re-Teck's NA plants and third-party partner sites, including production support, issue resolution, and engineering change coordination
  • Drive the adoption of global engineering standards, processes, and best practices across all NA plants and third-party partner sites
  • Set engineering priorities and KPIs for the NA plants and third-party partner sites and report progress to management regularly

2. Process, Layout & Cost Optimization

  • Optimize production flow and plant layout to improve throughput, efficiency, quality, and safety
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, 5S) covering line balancing, cycle-time reduction, waste elimination, and cost savings
  • Analyze capacity, labor, and equipment utilization data to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities

3. To-Be Enhancement Plan & Execution

  • Develop the To-Be enhancement plan for North America operations — a future-state improvement roadmap covering process automation, systematization and digitalization (e.g., system/MES integration, digital data collection, and performance dashboards), and capacity and efficiency upgrades
  • Present the plan with clear priorities, milestones, investment estimates, and expected benefits in cost, quality, and throughput
  • Drive the approved plan through to full execution — own the milestones, coordinate resources, remove roadblocks, and verify the results against targets

4. New Projects & Production Line Setup

  • Evaluate the feasibility of new projects, including process design, capacity planning, cost estimation, and risk assessment
  • Lead project introduction (NPI) and production line setup — from planning, equipment selection, and installation through trial runs, validation, and mass-production ramp-up
  • Coordinate with customers and global teams to meet project schedules and technical requirements

5. Equipment, Tooling & Automation

  • Specify, evaluate, and support the purchase and installation of production equipment, tooling, and fixtures
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues together with maintenance and production teams
  • Identify and promote automation opportunities to improve productivity and consistency

6. Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Develop and maintain work instructions, SOPs, and engineering documentation for all production processes
  • Ensure processes comply with customer requirements, quality standards, and EHS/safety regulations; support customer and internal audits

7. Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Lead, coach, and develop engineers and technicians; build the engineering capability of the North America team
  • Work closely with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and global engineering teams in a matrix environment

8. Reports To: General Manager, North America
