Engineering Manager Optimize Interfaces

You will lead the Optimize Interfaces team developing the engineering foundation for Adyen Payments Optimization. You will provide technical leadership, mentor backend, machine learning, and data engineers, improve engineering operations, shape product requirements, define performance measures, and recruit team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead the cross-functional Optimization Interfaces team
• Drive architecture strategy
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to engineers
• Work cross-functionally with Design, Product, Data Engineering, and Machine Learning teams
• Define and implement performance measures
• Design and implement reliable services
• Set individual and team goals with the Product Manager
• Create an open communication and feedback culture
• Recruit new team members

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams in a Java environment
• 5+ years of experience in software development
• Experience with Core Java
• Experience with distributed systems
• Experience with machine learning products
• Experience with BI tools such as Looker
• Experience coaching and mentoring engineering talent
• Experience leading technical projects
• Experience collaborating with senior leadership
