Engineering Manager - Platform & DevOps

Job Description

Our clients are looking for a hands-on Platform & DevOps Engineering Manager to lead their platform, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps capabilities, this role is within a fast-paced scale up environment so a premium will be placed on candidates who have prior start up or scale up experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and evolving the core platform services used by development teams, with a focus on provisioning a platform that supports delivering software quickly, securely, and reliably. Alongside technical leadership, you will manage and develop the engineering team, establish best practices, and work closely with senior stakeholders to support the company's growth. Were looking to speak to candidates with a broad technical background, with in depth knowledge on tools such as AWS, .NET, Angular, EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, Terraform, CI/CD. A strong collaborative mindset to work with other teams in the business is also a requirement. The successful candidate will have exposure across multiple pillars, Platform, DevOps, Infrastructure and Software Engineering and should have a security first approach in everything that they do. Prior experience developing teams from scratch would be a huge plus, candidates ideally should have experience, leading, recruiting and mentoring teams, in the Platform or DevOps space. As both the company and the Platform & DevOps Team are scaling rapidly our clients place a huge emphasis on in person collaboration, their very strong preference is for a 3 or 4 day a week onsite presence in their office in Dublin 2 unfortunately remote working is not available.
