Summary
Vertiv is hiring an engineering manager in Zagreb to lead electrical, software, mechanical, and test engineers developing single-phase UPS power products for its global lines of business. The role covers project planning, prioritization, and delivery across the full hardware design cycle.
The Engineering Manager is an expert in their field and within the organization. The Engineering Manager manages the lead engineers and individual contributors and is responsible for the success of design and development projects for Single-Phase UPS products. The Engineering Manager takes responsibility for the identification, planning, and execution of design projects in support of Vertiv’s global Lines of Business. The Engineering Manager is responsible for defining projects, negotiating priorities, scheduling tasks, and reporting to senior leadership on progress for a team of Electrical, Software, Mechanical, and Test Engineers. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, experience with AC power, UPS, systems engineering background, an understanding of printed circuit board design and development, and experience in developing and managing a high-performing team.

- Technical team management experience
- 10+ years of product development or support for electrical products
- Strong knowledge of full product design cycle and engineering disciplines such as: <div style="margin-bottom: -8px;">{REQUIREMENTS_2}
- Ability to organize and schedule team activities
- Engineering software and systems familiarity such as Oracle, Agile, CREO, Mentor Graphics, etc.
- Excellent planning, organizing, and communication skills
- Ability to successfully communicate and articulate complex topics to a broad range of people
- Ability to multitask and operate in cross functional Global Development Teams
- 100% fluent in English, with strong people skills - motivation and conflict resolution
- Some International travel required – 10%
