Engineering Manager
You will write code while leading the organisation’s technical strategy and aligning it with business goals. You will manage team sprints, guide timely delivery, select and implement technology solutions, optimize infrastructure, establish technology standards, and use stakeholder feedback to improve technology.
Responsibilities
- Lead the organisation's technical strategy and align it with business goals
- Manage team sprints and ensure operational efficiency
- Ensure timely delivery of commitments by directing the team
- Identify, select, and implement technology solutions for current and future needs
- Manage and optimize infrastructure assets to meet internal targets
- Create technology standards and practices and ensure adherence
- Drive thought leadership, innovation, and creativity
- Use stakeholder feedback to improve and adjust technology
Requirements
- 4+ years of NodeJS experience
- 4+ years of team management experience
- 8+ years of experience building end-to-end full-stack products
- Experience building production systems for a startup or organisation
- Strong command of NodeJS and its internals
- Knowledge of Ethereum blockchain is desirable
- Comfort with RESTful web services and APIs using ExpressJS
- Comfort with Node.js, Docker, Kubernetes, Python, and Git
- Strong command of cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud
- Ability to learn quickly and understand new concepts
- Willingness to work in an agile startup environment and take ownership of assigned responsibilities
