Engineering Manager [SL]

Manage engineering and design-related activities throughout the project lifecycle to ensure technical compliance and constructability.

Review drawings, technical specifications, method statements, and engineering submissions to ensure alignment with project requirements.

Oversee Requests for Information (RFIs), technical clarifications, design changes, and the timely approval of shop drawings and materials.

Lead multidisciplinary coordination meetings to align engineering deliverables with construction schedules and work sequences.

Utilise Building Information Modelling (BIM) tools to identify design clashes, improve coordination, and minimise rework.

Provide technical guidance to site teams and support the development of construction methodologies.

Assist the procurement team in evaluating the technical suitability of subcontractors, suppliers, and construction materials.

Ensure compliance with contractual specifications, statutory requirements, quality standards, and company procedures.

Oversee technical inspections, quality assurance activities, and the preparation of as-built drawings and project handover documentation.

Identify and manage technical risks that may affect project costs, quality, or schedules.

Maintain effective change management procedures and ensure design revisions are properly documented and communicated.

Lead, mentor, and allocate responsibilities to engineering personnel while promoting safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Provide regular technical updates and reports to senior management and project stakeholders.
