Engineering Manager

Discussion

Summary

Technical Project Manager bridges software and hardware teams in autonomous defense systems, translating field tests into engineering tasks and championing AI tooling while managing complex multi-disciplinary projects.

Not a classic PM role. We need an engineer who grew into managing delivery: reads code, drafts baseline architecture himself, talks to CV/embedded engineers as a peer. Focus - technical delivery.

Requirements
4+ years hands-on software engineering (backend / embedded / robotics / ML) before or alongside a lead/PM role.
Can independently turn high-level requirements into a solution architecture and technical decomposition - and defend it.
Python; reads C++.
Understands ML/CV trade-offs (accuracy / latency / compute). Deep CV expertise not required.
Has driven projects across software + hardware teams.
Daily AI tools user (Claude / Cursor / Copilot).

Plus: CV pipelines, ROS, Jetson, ONNX/TensorRT, ArduPilot/Betaflight, FPV/drones, sensor fusion.

What You'll Do
Turn the Lead Architect's direction into architectures, decompositions, and implementable tasks.
Own delivery across workstreams (autonomous drone, turret control): planning, risks, reporting.
Bridge software (CV/ML, ROS) and hardware/embedded teams; coordinate module integration.
Attend field tests; translate results into engineering tasks.

We Offer
Autonomous systems for national defense; strong CV/embedded/robotics team.
Real influence on technical direction.
Competitive compensation + military service exemption.
