As the Engineering Operations Lead, you will own the systems, data, and cadence that let engineering run itself. You will build the operational backbone to remove friction and enable rapid delivery, partnering with Product, BD, Finance, Legal, and Marketing to ensure successful launches and reliable delivery.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic advisory to the CTO, Engineering Leadership, and Product Leads on process design, operating models, data insights, and operational decision-making.
- Deliver data-driven insights on team performance, productivity metrics, weekly readouts, and optimization opportunities.
- Build and maintain prioritization frameworks for high-impact initiatives and defensible trade-offs.
- Oversee Engineering OKRs, surface trends and risks, and maintain alignment with the company’s long-term vision.
- Run operating cadence and delivery, including planning cycles, milestone and dependency tracking, and delivery visibility.
- Build and maintain dashboards showing goals, progress, and delivery health.
- Manage Engineering operations, Linear initiatives and projects, deadlines, and prioritization; own Linear as the organization’s work-management structure.
- Design and automate scalable workflows to close operational gaps across the delivery lifecycle.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with Product, BD, Finance, Legal, and Marketing.
- Develop and run Engineering Operations training sessions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in business operations, engineering operations, or a similar function.
- Deep understanding of engineering operating models, prioritization frameworks, operating cadence, and execution systems.
- Experience building and improving SOPs, automation, and cross-functional workflows.
- Strong analytical skills and experience building dashboards, performance reports, and data-driven recommendations.
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills.
- Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable with ownership and ambiguity.
- Familiarity with Linear or a comparable execution and issue-tracking system.
- Experience supporting or partnering closely with executive leadership is a strong plus.
