Engineering Operations Specialist

U.S. Citizenship Required. Ability to qualify for a U.S. Department of War security clearance required.

Toyon Research Corporation is an industry leader in advanced aerospace and defense technologies. We are seeking an organized, proactive Engineering Operations Specialist to support our Aerospace Development Engineering department, which provides mechanical, electrical, quality, and engineering support to multiple hardware programs. This position works closely with the Development Engineering Operations Manager, functional engineering managers, technical staff, Human Resources, and program leadership to coordinate recruiting, onboarding, resource-planning inputs, meetings, documentation, and engineering operations. The successful candidate will independently manage recurring workflows, anticipate coordination needs, and ensure actions are completed accurately and on time. The role supports department operations as well as assigned program-specific activities, as applicable.
Responsibilities:

• Support engineering operations, recruiting, onboarding, and other department initiatives
• Coordinate onboarding of new engineering personnel
• Assist with workforce planning, staffing, and resource coordination activities
• Coordinate meetings, schedules, communications, and follow-up actions
• Provide operational and administrative support for department initiatives, including documentation, coordination, and cross-functional activities
• Follow up on routine cross-department and business-unit dependencies, schedules, and deliverables;
• identify conflicts and elevate matters requiring management decisions
