Engineering (Process/Equipment)
Summary
Engineer process and equipment improvements for semiconductor packaging, focusing on AOI, tape/reel, and packing operations, while leading automation projects like autonomous mobile robots.
Purpose of the Job (Why the job exists):
- Solves difficult problems through assessment of various techniques and approaches to develop appropriate, creative and practical solutions.

Key Job Accountabilities (Actual daily deliverables): AOI, Tape and Reel, and Packing Label
- Line sustaining and to monitor for any yield loss(overkill) or other quality-related issues like recipe optimization to reduce under kill and so on;
- Execute process improvement projects activities, follow up as assigned by supervisors;
- Create and review technical documentation including Process Specifications and Work Instructions, Engineering Change Notices, Material and Equipment Dispositions and OCAP, FMEA, Control Plan and MSA worksheets;
- Performs root cause analysis on process issues thru the use of standard quality tools (8D, DMAIC). Generates and implements corrective actions;
- Engage with cross-functional groups such as Quality Engineers, Equipment Engineers, Customer and Suppliers to drive down process and equipment issues.
Autonomous Mobile Robot Project Implementation:
- Develop and implement the Autonomous Mobile Robot system in collaboration with cross-functional teams;
- Conduct system integration, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure successful deployment;
- Optimize and fine-tune the robot's performance to meet operational requirements;
- Collaborate with software and hardware teams to ensure seamless communication and functionality;
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field;
- Knowledge in AOI, Tape and reel or Packing operations;
- Understanding of automation and control systems is preferred;
- Experience in the design and implementation of automation projects for manufacturing processes is preferred;
- Project management skills to ensure timely and successful project delivery;
- Independent self-starter to drive to meet operation goals;
- High level of commitment and passion;
