Description

EMPLOYER SPONSORSHIP AND THIRD-PARTY APPLICANTS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED AT THIS TIME

Lead the planning, design, and construction of Tulsa Airports’ capital improvement program. Join the owner's team and help shape the future of Tulsa's aviation infrastructure.

WHY THIS ROLE

If you've built your career in consulting engineering or construction management and want greater ownership of the projects you deliver, this role offers a unique opportunity to move to the owner side.

At Tulsa Airports Improvement Trust, you'll help plan, develop, and deliver the capital projects that shape the future of Tulsa International Airport and Tulsa Riverside Airport. Focus on project delivery rather than client acquisition, utilization targets, or business development responsibilities.

In this role you will:

  • Serve the public through the development and stewardship of critical transportation infrastructure.
  • Represent the airport as the owner throughout planning, design, and construction.
  • Lead projects from concept through commissioning and closeout.
  • Work on local projects with visible, lasting impact on Tulsa’s transportation infrastructure.
  • Participate in the long-term development of airport facilities and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with consultants and contractors while maintaining an owner's perspective.
  • Team with Airport airfield and building experts to develop durable, serviceable facilities.
  • Help shape capital investment decisions that support the region's future growth.

The Project Manager is responsible for managing and executing capital improvement projects on the airfield, in airport buildings, and on landside infrastructure at Tulsa International Airport and Tulsa Riverside Airport. This role oversees all project phases, including planning, design, procurement, construction, and construction contract administration, while ensuring compliance with applicable Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and local, state, and federal requirements. The position requires frequent coordination with internal airport departments, external consultants and contractors, airport tenants, and regulatory agencies.
