Engineering Supervisor
Summary
Oversee a team of technicians and contractors to maintain mechanical and electrical systems in a hospitality facility, ensuring safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Supervise technicians and external contractors, ensuring effective execution of engineering tasks.
- Plan shift schedules, conduct briefings and ensure proper handover between shifts.
- Oversee preventive maintenance and routine inspections of M&E systems and common areas.
- Assign, track and monitor work orders, ensuring timely completion of defects and service requests.
- Respond promptly to M&E emergencies, troubleshoot issues and escalate incidents to management when required.
- Ensure compliance to building codes, fire safety regulations and workplace safety standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reliability and support implementation of energy-saving initiatives and best practices.
- Manage and maintain inventory of engineering equipment, tools and spare parts.
Requirements
- Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Facility Management or equivalent, with minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the hospitality industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good planning and organisational skills, coupled with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willing and able to work shifts.
