ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN

You will serve as a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the Engineering and Planning Department of PSNS and IMF.

You will perform monitoring to compliance to the requirements of procedures and processes and, assesses effectiveness put in place.

You will be responsible for safety of personnel and safe operation of systems/components to support the mission of the ship.

You will exercise technical control to coordinate and develop existing and new processes; research, development or design work, i.e., processes, arrangement. structural, mechanical, electrical or electronics.

You will coordinate with activities withing and outside the organization and shipyard pertaining to technical, administrative or process matters.

You will administer, manage, direct, coordinate and perform work on specific technical or process matters that range across the agencies activity and or into other agencies.

You will provide sound technical expertise in ship maintenance, ship design, ship safety or emergency response during planning or execution of ship availabilities.

You will make recommendations and establish new and improved technical procedures and processes for maintenance, repair or trouble shooting for all systems hull, mechanical, and electrical associated with submarines and surface ships.
