Engineering - Test Engineer

Summary

Validates FPGA-based power analysis tools by running tests, collecting data, and automating regression workflows using Python, TCL, and Vivado/Vitis.

Project description

We are seeking an experienced FPGA Power Tools Validation Engineer to join the Power Tools and Validation team. In this role, the candidate will execute, and own validation plans for FPGA-based power analysis features. It will combine deep FPGA hardware understanding with power analysis methodologies to ensure that power tools produce correct, repeatable, and trustworthy results across device configurations and workloads.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and own validation tasks for FPGA power tools: test execution, data collection, and reporting.
  • Validating tools w.r.t to power models
  • Build and run instrumented FPGA power measurement setups (power analyzers, oscilloscopes, PMBus/I2C telemetry).
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and test harnesses in Python and TCL/shell for repeatable regression runs.
  • AI tools and their applications Tools & technologies
  • FPGA flows: Vivado/Vitis, ModelSim/Questa
  • Scripting/automation: Python (pandas/pytest), TCL, Bash

SKILLS

Must have

  • * 1- 3 years of experience. * Strong experience in FPGA power validation, including test execution, data collection, analysis, and reporting. * Hands-on expertise with FPGA development tools such as Vivado/Vitis and ModelSim/Questa. * Proficiency in Python (pandas, pytest), TCL, and Bash/Shell scripting for automation and regression testing. * Experience with FPGA power measurement setups, including power analyzers, oscilloscopes, and PMBus/I2C telemetry. * Familiarity with AI tools and their applications to improve validation workflows and engineering productivity.
