Enrollment Data Analyst

Description
The Enrollment Data Analyst provides specialized analytics and reporting to support enrollment planning, recruitment, yield strategy, and student success initiatives. The position reports to the Assistant Director of Institutional Research. The Analyst builds and maintains strategic enrollment dashboards, forecasting models, and campaign/territory analyses, translating data into actionable insights for enrollment leadership. The Data Analyst contributes strategic enrollment-related content to institutional dashboards as prioritized by the Chief Institutional Research Officer(CIRO), including strategic plan KPI components.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Develop and maintain enrollment dashboards and scorecards across the funnel (inquiry, applicant, admit, deposit, registered) and key populations.
Design clear, executive-ready dashboards and scorecards using data visualization best practices (layout, usability, accessibility, and consistent formatting).
Maintain enrollment-related strategic plan KPI components and supporting dashboards/scorecards, including underlying reports that feed institutional strategic plan dashboards.
Produce enrollment forecasts, scenario models, and term-cycle reporting to support planning and resource decisions.
Analyze recruitment campaigns, territories, channels, and conversion rates; provide recommendations to improve yield and persistence.
Partner with Enrollment Management to define and standardize enrollment KPIs and ensure consistent use of definitions across reports.
Support operational reporting needs for admissions, financial aid, and student affairs while aligning outputs to institutional governance standards.
Work with IR/CIRO and IT to improve data capture, CRM/SIS reporting integration, and automation of recurring enrollment reports.
Prepare data and analysis to support strategic initiatives (new programs, scholarships/discounting, market analysis, student success interventions).
Ensure appropriate handling of student data consistent with FERPA and institutional policies; follow approved data access procedures.
Create documentation for enrollment reporting logic and processes; provide training/office hours for enrollment staff as needed.
Other relevant duties as assigned.
Regular and predictable attendance is required.

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience).
Experience in analytics, reporting, institutional research, or enrollment analytics (higher education preferred).
Experience working with student information systems and/or CRM data; ability to write SQL queries and build dashboards preferred.
Licenses and Certification
Valid Georgia Driver’s License (or obtained within 30 days of hire date) and satisfactory MVR.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong understanding of enrollment management concepts and funnel metrics; ability to translate insights into operational action.
Demonstrated ability to design clear, executive-ready dashboards and scorecards (layout, hierarchy, readability, and usability).
Experience applying data visualization best practices and consistent design standards across dashboards.
Strong data storytelling skills: ability to communicate insights and recommendations clearly through concise narratives and visuals.
Proficiency with Excel and reporting/visualization tools; experience with dashboard development and scorecards.
Working knowledge of SQL and relational data concepts; comfort combining data from multiple sources.
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences and build strong cross-functional partnerships.
High attention to detail, data integrity, and documentation discipline.
Ability to collaboratively and effectively work in a diverse and inclusive environment.Supplemental Information

Essential functions and responsibilities of this position are performed in an inside environmental condition, where there is protection from weather conditions but not necessarily temperature changes. Essential functions and responsibilities require light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Incumbents must have close visual acuity to perform activities such as extensive reading and operating computers and other office equipment.
