Enterprise Account Executive, K-12 School Safety

Posted Updated 2 views
Discussion

Bark helps schools keep kids safe online. We're hiring an Enterprise Account Executive to land and grow K-12 district accounts for our school safety monitoring platform: a field-based hunter who wins districts of every size, from the largest metro systems to mid-market and smaller districts.

This is a quota-carrying, full-cycle new-business role and one of the most important seats on our go-to-market team. You'll own a territory end to end: building your own pipeline, closing district deals of all sizes, and being on the road with the superintendents, technology directors, and school boards who make the call.

This is not an inside-sales seat. We're looking for a road warrior and a closer — someone who generates their own pipeline and thrives on landing big accounts while keeping a steady book of mid-market and smaller-district business moving.

What you'll do

  • Own your territory. Run full-cycle sales: prospecting, discovery, stakeholder alignment, security and procurement review, board and budget navigation, negotiation, and close across districts of every size.
  • Hunt across the full stack. Land your largest, most strategic districts and maintain the velocity of mid-market and smaller wins that keep your pipeline healthy and your quarters predictable. Big deals anchor the territory; the steady middle carries it.
  • Sell in the field. Travel to meet district leaders on-site, present to cabinets and school boards, and represent Bark at regional and national K-12 conferences (~30% travel).
  • Work the K-12 calendar. Time your pipeline to how schools actually buy — build through the spring, harvest through summer and the back-to-school window — and forecast accurately against that rhythm.
  • Land and expand. Grow footprint within districts (multi-school, multi-year) and turn a win in one district into the relationship that opens the next one.
  • Run a disciplined desk. Keep pipeline hygiene and forecast accuracy tight in the CRM stage, close date, and forecast category current enough that your commit means something.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of full-cycle B2B sales with a proven record of closing complex, five- and six-figure deals to mid-sized and large organizations.
  • A genuine hunter: you generate your own pipeline and are energized by net-new logos, not inbound queues, renewals, or account maintenance.
  • Ability to carry a full-stack territory: the executive presence to win a large district's cabinet and board, plus the work rate to keep mid-market and SMB deals flowing.
  • Experience selling into K-12 districts or the public sector strongly preferred, including comfort with procurement, security/privacy review, and board- and budget-cycle buying.
  • Field-sales DNA: you run a territory independently, you're comfortable living out of a travel bag part of the month, and you close in person.
  • Strong forecasting discipline and CRM rigor (HubSpot or Salesforce).

What this role is not

  • An inside/SDR-style seat working primarily inbound or phone-based leads. This is a field role for someone who wants to own a territory and close in person.
