Role : Enterprise Architect - Application Migration
Experience : 8+ Years
Location : Mumbai/Bangalore
Must Have Skills
- Experience leading end-to-end enterprise application migration initiatives to AWS.
- Strong understanding of migration strategies including Lift & Shift (Rehost), Replatform, and Refactor based on application architecture and business requirements.
- Experience with application discovery, dependency mapping, codebase assessment, and technical debt analysis using automated code scanning tools.
- Expertise in analyzing legacy .NET, Java, and other application stacks to identify migration risks, inline SQL, and modernization opportunities.
- Experience designing and implementing cloud-native application architectures following migration.
- Hands-on experience deploying and troubleshooting applications on EC2 Linux, including systemd configuration, permissions management, and performance optimization.
- Experience using Agentic AI tools (Kiro, Transform, or equivalent) for application migration, code conversion, and validation of AI-generated output.
- Experience integrating and enhancing CI/CD pipelines for application deployment and modernization.
- Strong technical leadership, mentoring, and hands-on implementation experience.
- Knowledge of application security, performance optimization, and compliance best practices during migration.
- Strong expertise in C#, .NET Framework 2.x–4.x, .NET Core 8+ on Linux, ASP.NET WebForms, Blazor, ASP.NET MVC, NuGet, ADO.NET, Entity Framework, Dapper, and PostgreSQL migration.
- Strong expertise in Java 8/11, Java 17/21 LTS, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, JSF, Struts, Maven, Gradle, JDBC, Hibernate, MyBatis, and Spring Data JPA.
- Experience modernizing Python applications (Django/Flask to FastAPI) and Node.js applications (Express to NestJS or equivalent modern frameworks).
- Hands-on experience with EC2 Linux deployment, Git source control, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, and CI/CD automation.
- Experience using code quality and security tools such as ATX Codebase Scanner, SonarQube, and Snyk.
- Strong client-facing consulting skills with experience presenting migration strategies, architecture reviews, and roadmaps to CTOs, CIOs, and executive stakeholders.
- Experience supporting pre-sales activities including client discovery workshops, RFP responses, solution presentations, and migration readiness assessments.
- Excellent stakeholder management, business communication, presentation, workshop facilitation, technical documentation, proposal writing, and business value articulation skills.
Good to Have Skills
- AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Migration Specialty.
- Familiarity with Linux/UNIX administration and Shell scripting.
- Experience with AWS migration tools including AWS Application Migration Service (MGN), AWS Database Migration Service (DMS), and CloudEndure.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience creating thought leadership content such as blogs, whitepapers, webinars, and case studies.
- Exposure to Go-to-Market (GTM) initiatives, consulting engagements, and professional services environments.
- Experience building migration runbooks, reference architectures, and enterprise migration best practices.
