Enterprise Architect

As Enterprise Architect, you will lead the enterprise architecture discipline and direction across the organization, ensuring alignment between business strategy and IT capabilities. You will be responsible for defining and governing the architectural vision, principles, and standards that guide technology decisions across Arelion. Furthermore, you will be working with the Security function to ensure architectural and security alignment in IT solutions.

You will also be accountable for the execution of Arelion’s data governance strategy, ensuring data is treated as a strategic asset. In this capacity, you will work closely the Data Quality Manager, who supports the implementation of data quality frameworks and compliance with regulatory standards

The role does not carry line management responsibility but acts as the highest authority on enterprise architecture within IT.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture roadmap in alignment with business objectives and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Lead the design of scalable, secure, and sustainable IT architecture across infrastructure, applications, data, and integration domains.
  • Establish architecture governance frameworks and ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and operational standards.
  • Review and approve IT solutions from an architectural point of view.
  • Ensure integration of AI into the enterprise landscape by guiding and reviewing AI solution designs to ensure proper integration with core platforms
  • Execute on and develop Arelion’s data governance strategy, including policies, standards, and stewardship practices.
  • Ensure effective implementation of data quality controls, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Ensure architectural alignment with GDPR and other relevant data protection requirements.
  • Collaborate with business leaders, IT teams, and external partners to assess emerging technologies and drive innovation.
  • Provide architectural oversight for major programs and projects, ensuring consistency and quality of design.

Requirements

  • Ability to align IT architecture with business goals and long-term digital transformation strategy.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and effectively manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Skilled in communicating with executive leadership, business units, and external partners.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001) and enterprise governance models.
  • Ability to drive innovation while managing organizational change and technology adoption.
  • Deep knowledge of TOGAF, Zachman, or similar methodologies.
  • Knowledge on AI implementation and governance
  • Experience with AWS, including hybrid environments.
  • Familiarity with microservices, APIs, service-oriented architecture and middleware
  • Familiarity with TM Forum ODA/SID, Mplify (f.k.a. MEF) LSO
  • Knowledgeable in data modelling, master data management and data quality frameworks
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles, identity and access management (IAM), and secure design practices.
  • Awareness of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and automation tools.
