Role & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate directly with key program leads and technical teams to design fit-for-purpose solution approaches aligned with future-state architecture.

  • Build an operational understanding of existing IT infrastructure, design standards, and key program work packages.

  • Define and enforce robust architectural standards, guidelines, and IT governance frameworks to ensure system consistency, scalability, and security.

  • Partner with business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify, shape, and describe opportunities for technological innovation addressing complex business challenges.

  • Identify technical adoption and integration risks while proactively developing practical mitigation strategies.

  • Engage, negotiate with, and influence senior executive stakeholders across service design, policy, procurement, and IT security.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this position, you will ideally bring:

  • Technical Toolkit: Enterprise Architecture frameworks, Agile project delivery methodology, and ITIL processes and structures.

  • Experience: Proven track record as an Enterprise Architect within complex ICT and Federal Government environments, with strong experience navigating competing business requirements.

  • Core Capabilities: Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with a demonstrated ability to translate seamlessly between business and technical terminology for senior executives.

Eligibility & Clearance Requirements

  • Security Clearance: Due to the nature of this environment, candidates must hold a current Baseline security clearance (or higher) or be an Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain one.
