Enterprise Architect

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Architecture Leadership & Modernization

• Define and evolve the enterprise architecture strategy supporting the Converge telco-to-tech transformation roadmap.

• Align technology architecture with critical business goals, including digital service agility, network virtualization, partner integrations, and premier customer experiences.

• Design future-proof target architectures for cloud migration, API-first integrations, data platform modernization, and edge computing.

• Develop robust transition plans transitioning from legacy BSS/OSS to microservices, SaaS platforms, and composable architectures.

• Ensure smooth interoperability between backend telco-grade systems and customer-facing digital platforms (e.g., CRM, CPQ, Customer 360).

Governance, Standards & Innovation

• Establish strict enterprise architecture principles, reference models, and reusable design patterns.

• Lead architecture governance across engineering and delivery teams to ensure optimal compliance, system performance, and cybersecurity.

• Advocate for and embed TM Forum standards (e.g., Open APIs, SID, eTOM) across our digital ecosystem.

• Identify and pilot emerging telecom technologies (e.g., 5G monetization, AI/ML, network slicing, Open RAN) to drive data-backed decision-making across the enterprise.

Collaboration, Mentorship & Capability Building

• Partner closely with solution architects, product managers, security operations, and engineering teams to translate complex architecture decisions into seamless deployment plans.

• Act as a trusted technical advisor to executive leadership, project boards, and cross-functional platform teams.

• Coach and mentor junior architects, developers, and systems engineers in modern design thinking principles.

• Lead internal Architecture Review Boards (ARB) and organize knowledge-sharing workshops to build a continuous learning culture.

Job Requirements

Experience & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Experience: 10+ years in IT/architecture roles, including at least 3+ years specifically in an Enterprise Architecture capacity.

• Industry Focus: Proven experience in telecom industry architecture (BSS/OSS) or large-scale digital platform transformations within a tech/telecommunications context.

• Work Setup: Must be willing to work On-site.

Skills & Competencies

• Telco Domain Patterning: Deep understanding of systems including BSS/OSS, CRM, billing, service catalog, and end-to-end orchestration.

• Modern Software Design: Mastery of modern patterns like Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Onion/Hexagonal/Clean Architecture, Microservices, and event-driven systems.

• Cloud, DevSecOps & Integration: Familiarity with major cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), container orchestration (Kubernetes), API-first patterns, and event-streaming (Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS). Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).

• Data & Identity Foundations: Clear understanding of Identity & Access Management (IAM), data lakes, real-time analytics, and Master Data Management (MDM).

• Industry Frameworks: Solid working knowledge of TM Forum frameworks applied within modern digital service architectures.

Preferred Certifications

• TOGAF or an equivalent globally recognized enterprise architecture certification (Highly Preferred).

• Cloud Architecture certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Professional Cloud Architect).

• PMP or Agile/Scrum certifications are a strong advantage.
