About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect (Frontend) with deep expertise in ReactJS and Next.js to support Transavia's digital platforms. The ideal candidate has strong hands‑on engineering capability, thrives in high‑traffic environments, and can architect scalable, modern frontend solutions for mission‑critical systems such as booking flows, customer portals, and online check‑in platforms.

This is a 6‑month contract role based in Amsterdam, working within a fast‑paced Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and develop modern frontend solutions using ReactJS and Next.js.
• Build scalable, high‑performance interfaces for high‑traffic digital products.
• Work within Nx monorepos to structure and optimize large codebases.
• Implement automated testing using Jest to ensure reliability and maintainability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Contribute to frontend best practices, performance optimization, and code quality.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required Competencies

• Digital: ReactJS, Next.js
• Strong understanding of frontend architecture and enterprise‑scale design patterns.

Essential Skills

• Strong experience as a Front-End Developer.
• Advanced knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, and SASS/CSS.
• Hands-on experience with React and Next.js.
• Experience working with Nx monorepos.
• Experience with test automation using Jest.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work on high-traffic platforms (booking flows, customer portals, online check-in systems).
• English communication skills (Dutch not required).

Experience

• 6–8 years of professional experience in frontend development.

Desirable Skills
