Enterprise Architect

Summary

Design and oversee IT architecture roadmaps, security controls, and compliance for a government lab, ensuring alignment with cybersecurity policies and business processes.

Salary: £38,000 - 78,000 per year

Requirements:
  • We have in-depth, referenceable knowledge and experience in cyber security and IT, including business process design.
  • We understand IT networking and virtualisation technologies.
  • We can define architecture roadmaps and associated strategies, including design analysis.
  • We have experience assessing IT systems, cloud offerings, and IT security controls to provide an independent view of compliance and effectiveness with security policy, IT security standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • We can assess architectural designs to determine whether the relevant security controls have been identified in line with business objectives and risk mitigation.
  • We have experience with cross-security domain approaches and solutions.
  • We hold one of the following certifications: CISSP, SABSA Chartered Security Architect (SCF), or CISM.
  • We hold two or more industry-recognised security certifications or qualifications.
  • We can obtain BPSS security clearance.
  • For this role in the Time & Frequency department, we have SC clearance with no restrictions or the ability to obtain SC clearance.
Responsibilities:
  • We lead the cyber security architecture and design function across our PNT programmes at national scale.
  • We oversee the design, delivery, and running of our cyber operational capability.
  • We develop an enterprise architecture aligned with our guiding principles.
  • We lead the technical cyber security design of systems and services across several PNT programmes and technologies at an organisational and inter-organisational level.
  • We research, identify, validate, and adopt new security technology, architecture, and methodology.
  • We lead engagement with our customers across UK Government and the private sector on security risk and decision-making.
  • We communicate current and emerging threats and design security architecture to mitigate against them.
  • We deliver secure technology solutions aligned with our enterprise security strategy, government standards, and organisational risk appetite.
  • We oversee design, delivery, operationalisation, risk management, and security assurance monitoring for complex security solutions.
