About the Opportunity

We’re looking for an Enterprise Business Development Manager to help shape our growth across Australia’s Enterprise market. This newly created Sydney based role is an opportunity to develop high value client relationships, structure and negotiate complex deals, and drive opportunities through to successful close.

You’ll thrive in this role if you’re commercially curious, enjoy solving complex business challenges and are motivated by helping clients identify and unlock new opportunities for growth.

About Finstro

Finstro is a growing non-bank lender supporting SME and mid-market enterprise businesses across Australia. Established over a decade ago, Finstro was founded to create simpler, smarter ways for businesses to manage B2B cash flow.

Today, Finstro has funded more than $2.6 billion in transactions for over 6,000 businesses, helping customers access capital when they need it to support growth, manage cash flow and unlock new opportunities.

Finstro provides a range of innovative financial solutions, including working capital and debtor finance, as well as extending credit to suppliers’ customers to enable more competitive trading terms.

Our solutions help businesses offer flexible payment terms to their customers, making their offering more attractive while removing cash-flow barriers that can otherwise limit purchase decisions and growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, consistently achieving targets.

  • Develop and nurture strong professional relationships with senior decision makers in large SME and mid-market businesses across multiple industry verticals.

  • Partner with clients to understand their growth challenges, define relevant use cases, and deliver tailored solutions.

  • Be a consultative partner by developing deep knowledge of clients’ strategic priorities and business needs.

  • Accurately manage and report sales pipeline activity in Salesforce and Excel.

  • Collaborate with internal teams (risk, credit, finance, marketing, customer success, and IT) and deliver seamless customer experiences.

  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge and stay curious about industry innovations and the commercial applications for embedded finance, data and AI.

  • Develop customer-focused acquisition strategies that drive sustainable growth.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Have demonstrated success in B2B enterprise sales with a strong professional network.

  • Bring at least 5 years of professional experience in financial services, fintech, trade finance or business lending in Australia.

  • Are curious and possess a solid understanding of non-bank commercial finance, trade finance, business lending and payments solutions.

  • Are proficient in Excel and familiar with Microsoft 365, OpenAI/ChatGPT, and other work-based applications.

  • Can balance independent work with effective collaboration across teams.

  • Have exceptional relationship-building and negotiation skills, with confidence engaging with business owners, founders, board directors, C-suite executives, and advisors.

  • Are able to quickly identify client challenges and opportunities, co-create solutions, and clearly communicate recommendations, commercial terms and value propositions.

Why Join Us

  • Competitive base salary plus superannuation and commission.

  • Work in a culture that values innovation, authenticity, and continuous learning.

  • Flexible and supportive environment with strong career growth potential.

  • Exposure to senior decision-makers across multiple industries.

  • Opportunity to shape a new role and contribute to a growing enterprise channel.
