Enterprise Data Modeller- Banking

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Data Modeller to support the development and implementation of enterprise-wide data models within the banking domain. The role will initially focus on Silver-layer modelling for MA, with subsequent expansion into RR and MAS610,while contributing to broader global data modelling standards and strategic data initiatives.

The successful candidate will work closely with business, data, risk, finance, architecture, and technology stakeholders to create robust conceptual, logical, and physical data models that support regulatory reporting, analytics, data governance, and enterprise data management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver enterprise Silver-layer data modelling, initially covering MA and subsequently expanding to RR and MAS610.
  • Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned with business, regulatory, and technology requirements.
  • Translate complex banking, finance, risk, and regulatory requirements into scalable and reusable enterprise data structures.
  • Define entities, attributes, relationships, hierarchies, reference data, and business definitions across key banking data domains.
  • Ensure data models are aligned with enterprise architecture, data governance principles, and established modelling standards.
  • Contribute to the development and adoption of global data modelling standards, methodologies, naming conventions, and best practices.
  • Support the implementation and enterprise roll-out of ER/Studio, including model governance, repository management, standards, and ways of working.
  • Collaborate with data architects, data engineers, business analysts, data owners, risk and finance teams, and regulatory reporting stakeholders.
  • Perform data model reviews, gap analysis, model rationalisation, and impact assessments across existing and target-state platforms.
  • Promote consistency and reuse of enterprise data definitions across business units, geographies, and technology platforms.
  • Contribute to global transformation programmes and strategic initiatives, including Horizon and other enterprise data projects.
  • Support data lineage, metadata management, data quality, and governance activities by ensuring models provide clear and traceable definitions of critical data elements.
  • Provide modelling guidance and subject-matter expertise to project teams and other data professionals.

Required Experience and Skills

  • 6–8 years of enterprise data modelling experience, preferably within banking or financial services.
  • Strong hands-on experience developing conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
  • Demonstrated experience modelling data within finance, risk, regulatory reporting, or related banking domains.
  • Strong understanding of banking data structures, business concepts, and data relationships.
  • Experience working with enterprise data modelling tools; ER/Studio experience is highly desirable.
  • Exposure to industry-standard banking or financial services data models and the ability to adapt industry models to enterprise requirements.
  • Experience supporting regulatory reporting and translating regulatory or reporting requirements into data models.
  • Knowledge of enterprise data architecture, data governance, metadata management, data lineage, and data quality principles.
  • Ability to analyse complex source systems and datasets and translate them into standardised enterprise models.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across business and technology teams.
  • Experience working in large, complex, global organisations and across geographically distributed teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with banking regulatory reporting frameworks, including exposure to MAS610.
  • Experience establishing or implementing enterprise-wide data modelling standards and governance.
