Enterprise Data Platform Product Manager
Summary
Leads the product strategy and roadmap for Ford’s Enterprise Data Platform, focusing on scalable data ingestion, AI-powered insights, and a unified user experience for enterprise data services.
Product Strategy & Leadership
- Define and execute product vision, strategy, and roadmap for key Enterprise Data Platform capabilities.
- Use data, user feedback, and business objectives to prioritise investments and measure outcomes.
- Champion modern AI-powered product management practices across the organisation.
- Mentor and develop product managers while fostering a culture of experimentation and continuous learning.
Vision Intelligence Platform
- Lead product strategy for the Vision Intelligence Platform and related AI initiatives.
- Partner with data science and engineering teams to deliver computer vision and AI solutions that improve quality monitoring, diagnostics, and recall identification processes.
- Define success metrics and drive adoption of AI-enabled capabilities across business functions.
Data Ingestion Platform
- Drive development of scalable ingestion capabilities for enterprise data sources, including Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, DB2, video, audio, PDF, and presentation assets.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, governed, and compliant with enterprise standards.
- Improve data accessibility and readiness for analytics, machine learning, and generative AI applications.
EDP Console
- Lead the evolution of a unified platform experience that enables users to discover, access, govern, and analyse data through a single interface.
- Integrate capabilities such as data cataloguing, metadata management, semantic discovery, analytics, and cost optimisation.
- Define user experience requirements and adoption metrics.
Governance & Operational Excellence
- Partner with governance, compliance, security, and privacy teams to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Establish best practices for data lifecycle management, quality, observability, and stewardship.
- Monitor platform health, adoption, cost efficiency, and business impact.
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
- 8+ years of product management experience, including ownership of enterprise software, data platforms, or AI-enabled products.
- Experience leading complex products from strategy through delivery.
- Strong understanding of data platforms, metadata management, data governance, and analytics ecosystems.
- Experience working with structured and unstructured data sources.
- Experience partnering with engineering, data science, and architecture teams.
- Demonstrated experience using AI and Generative AI technologies within product development workflows.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred
- Experience with Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or Generative AI applications.
- Experience with enterprise cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with MLOps, data observability, and data quality frameworks.
- Experience in manufacturing, automotive, mobility, or industrial technology environments.
- Experience leading or mentoring product managers.
