Our Enterprise Risk team ⭐

Our Enterprise Risk team helps Monzo grow safely by making sure we have the right risk frameworks, reporting and governance in place across the bank. Working as part of our second line of defence, you'll partner closely with colleagues across the Office of the CRO, Group Risk and teams throughout Monzo to deliver clear, insightful risk reporting and support effective enterprise risk management. This is a highly collaborative role with real visibility across the organisation, giving you the opportunity to shape how risk information is used to support better decision making.

🔑 You'll play a key role by...

  • Designing and maintaining easy to understand, easy to operate risk reporting processes for Monzo Bank Limited, ensuring all reporting satisfies Group requirements.
  • Developing risk reporting processes alongside the Group Risk Reporting team that are fit for purpose, flexible, future-proofed where possible and provide meaningful business intelligence for both first and second line teams.
  • Understanding and analysing risk data to produce insightful reporting for senior stakeholders, including committee reporting where appropriate.
  • Producing Monzo Bank Limited Combined Assurance Plan (CAP) papers.
  • Supporting the operation and embedding of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF) across Monzo Bank Limited, ensuring consistent, proportionate application and effectiveness.
  • Working collaboratively with the Group Risk team to ensure the Group Risk Taxonomy remains fit for purpose and reflects Monzo Bank Limited's risk profile.
  • Supporting the smooth operation of the Monzo Bank Limited Enterprise Risk & Compliance Committee, including oversight of committee governance, production of minutes, action tracking and annual Committee Effectiveness Reviews and Terms of Reference updates.
  • Supporting the Group Risk Culture agenda and assisting with annual and mid-year risk culture updates for Monzo Bank Limited.

🤩 We'd love to hear from you if…

  • You have experience in risk reporting and risk data management, and know what good looks like.
  • You're confident managing stakeholders at all levels and can build effective working relationships across both first and second lines of defence.
  • You're experienced at prioritising work at both a tactical and strategic level.
  • You have experience designing and delivering strategic risk initiatives, including risk change.
  • You're an excellent written and verbal communicator and can communicate clearly in line with Monzo's Tone of Voice.
  • You're a role model for our values and behaviours.

Not ticking every box? That's totally okay! Studies show that women and people of colour might hesitate to apply unless they meet every single requirement. At Monzo, we're dedicated to creating a diverse and welcoming team. If you're passionate about this role and keen to learn and grow with us, we encourage you to apply, even if you don't have everything that's listed just yet.
