Enterprise Security Architect

Salary: $145,192 - $204,977 per annum

Mō te tūnga | About the role

As the Enterprise Security Architect, you will report to the Director of Cybersecurity and play a key role in making sure our technology modernisation is secure and fit for the future. You will take the lead in shaping and aligning our approach to Information Security, Electronic Security, Identity & Access Management, and Privacy, helping to ensure everything we design, and deliver is built on strong foundations.

This is a hands-on strategic role where you will guide how security is applied across new systems and platforms. You will work closely with a range of teams to make sure security is considered early and stays front of mind as projects move forward.

You will also have the chance to influence the wider enterprise architecture space, contributing to a Community of Practice and helping build consistency in how we approach design and decision-making.

To succeed in this role, you must have the following skills, please highlight these in your cover letter and CV:

  • Demonstrated experience as an Enterprise Security Architect (or in a senior security architecture role), developing security strategies, target-state architectures, roadmaps, and governance practices that influence enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Extensive enterprise-level expertise across security domains, including Information Security, Identity & Access Management, Privacy, and security architecture patterns and practices.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills, with the ability to build consensus, navigate competing priorities, and secure buy-in from technical and business leaders.
  • Experience applying architecture frameworks and strategic road mapping to guide security requirements, technology decisions, and organisational change across complex environments.
  • Strong technical knowledge of security technologies, products, and services, with experience working alongside technical stakeholders, vendors, and project teams to deliver secure, fit-for-purpose business outcomes

The midpoint of the salary range is $170,814 per annum and the full range (85%-120%) is $145,192 - $204,977 per annum. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
