Enterprise ServiceNow Engineer CMDB

Own and govern the enterprise CMDB, administer and enhance ServiceNow, improve configuration data quality, optimize Discovery and IRE, support Service Mapping and CSDM adoption, maintain application and service relationships, develop health dashboards, and guide teams on governance and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Own the Configuration Management Database
• Develop and maintain CMDB governance policies and procedures
• Monitor CMDB health and remediate data quality issues
• Define and measure CMDB health metrics and KPIs
• Administer and enhance ServiceNow CMDB functionality
• Configure and optimize Discovery and IRE
• Support Service Mapping and CSDM implementation
• Troubleshoot CMDB issues and improve platform performance
• Maintain application, service, infrastructure, and technology relationships
• Support Incident, Problem, Change, Asset, and Knowledge Management processes
• Develop CMDB dashboards and reporting
• Identify opportunities to automate CMDB population and maintenance
• Educate teams on CMDB governance and best practices

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years managing or supporting an enterprise CMDB
• 3+ years of hands-on ServiceNow administration experience
• Understanding of ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, IRE, and CSDM
• Enterprise application and application portfolio management experience
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux servers, networking, cloud platforms, endpoint management, and enterprise applications
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator preferred
• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist preferred
• CSDM implementation or maturation experience preferred
• Experience with HAM, SAM, APIs, integrations, and enterprise environments preferred
• Familiarity with ServiceNow AI capabilities preferred
