Envelope Machine Operator 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.

Mechanical knowledge / aptitude is required for this position.

Mechanical knowledge can include: prior manufacturing job(s), trade school, self-taught car repair & maintenance, hands-on with small engines/ motors, etc.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.

Location: In-person in Newington, CT

SUMMARY

Responsible for assisting in the setup, production, quality checks and operation of envelope machines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assist in the setup on machines in a timely manner. Clean machine prior to setups and during downtime.

1. Assist the adjuster during downtime to help minimize downtime. This is performed after housekeeping has been done.

1. Perform quality checks per our SOP and work instructions to ensure dimensions and overall quality of piece is maintained during the production run.

1. Hand-gather finished work and pack as necessary.

1. Operate electric pallet jack.
   
2. Perform other department operations as required.

1. Keep immediate work area neat and orderly.

1. Comply with company rules and regulations.

1. Maintain confidentiality of company-sensitive data.

1. Implement a commitment to quality philosophy and recommend methods and procedures to reduce cost and/or improve operating efficiency of the department.

1. Keep manager/supervisor informed of activities and situations that will impact the achievement of corporate or department goals and objectives.

1. Perform other related duties as required to achieve the goals and objectives of the department and company.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or GED.

• Basic mechanical aptitude and knowledge of tools
• Positive attitude and aptitude in learning and retaining knowledge that is trained
• Ability to assist in performing minor machine repairs and PMs.
• Ability to apply written instructions to machine operation and product quality
