Envelope Package Project Manager
As a Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of our major project in Oakham, Rutland as part of our DEOP Framework. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee and coordinate the procurement and installation of steel frame and envelope packages, ensuring they meet the project's requirements and timelines. You will work closely with our team of experts, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to guarantee a seamless and efficient process.
The role of the Project Manager is to provide project leadership and support at to ensure the project management activities are conducted in compliance with Bovis health, safety, and environmental policies. Responsible for providing technical, commercial, and operational support, together with production, quality, operational/site management support and managing costs whilst creating a supportive and collaborative environment, meeting client expectations and enhancing the reputation of the Bovis business. The role of the Project Manager is to ensure that an effective and productive liaison is established with respect to all aspects of the project delivery, between the design team, project / site team, commercial, client teams and supply chain putting the expertise of all to the best possible use. The Manager will liaise with the Design Manager and will be instrumental in coordinating and guiding the consultant team and supply chain through the delivery of the packages to mitigate design risk and maximise value to the client/business.
Key Responsibilities
The Project Manager is responsible for providing project leadership and managing the overall execution of construction projects from initiation to completion.
This encompasses creating a detailed project strategy, plan, and schedule, and driving the project delivery within that plan to maximize outcomes for the client and the business.
The Project Manager is accountable for the implementation and compliance with all company safety requirements across staff, contractors, and work practices, actively managing and mitigating project risks through comprehensive understanding and collaboration.
Essential credentials
Have a related Chartership such as CIOB.

Knowledge of current construction laws, legislations, and regulations, standards, and procedures.
In-depth knowledge of the construction industry.

Understanding of programme duration and sequencing of works of relevant aspects of construction.
Essential experience
Demonstratable experience of the delivery of construction projects.
Experience managing multiple supply chains, including sub-contractors and suppliers.
Experience of dealing with clients, contractors, and construction activities.
Experience managing consultants to ensure design and quality assurance deliverables are achieved and recorded.
Design, procurement, construction, and delivery experience.
Experienced with and capable of being part of a bid team and undertaking pre-construction planning.
Experience in the design of temporary and permanent works (including BIM, BIW, CAD).

- Coordinate and oversee the installation and construction process, providing on-site supervision and guidance.

- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on construction projects.
- Proven experience in managing steel frame and envelope packages is highly preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of construction processes, materials, and industry best practices.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project or similar.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a track record of meeting deadlines.
- Valid professional certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED) are considered an asset.
