  • Identify risks, recommend mitigation measures and support the resolution of environmental issues and incidents.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at reducing waste, improving resource efficiency and supporting carbon reduction objectives.
  • Partner with operational teams to drive environmental improvements and embed best practice into day-to-day activities.
  • Develop and deliver environmental training and awareness programmes.
  • Support customer, supplier and regulatory enquiries relating to environmental management and sustainability performance.
  • Manage environmental reporting requirements and ensure accurate maintenance of environmental records.
  • Keep abreast of emerging environmental legislation, industry developments and best practice.

About You

You will be a confident environmental professional with experience operating within a regulated, operationally focused environment and you will bring:

  • Proven experience in an Environmental Manager, Environmental Compliance Manager or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of UK environmental legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience managing environmental management systems and compliance programmes.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • The ability to work effectively across multiple operational sites.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage audiences at all levels.
  • A proactive and pragmatic approach to problem solving.

Desirable

  • Experience within aviation, airport operations, logistics, transport or other highly regulated industries.
  • IEMA Practitioner or equivalent professional environmental qualification.
