The core responsibility of this role is to analyze business requirements, assess environment needs, and translate these into technical requirements to set up the necessary environments. You will work closely with Solution Architects, Technical Leads, Application Domain Owners, Application Owners, the business, and other stakeholders to design robust, reliable, performant, and scalable solutions.
Key responsibilities:
- Transversal Position: Align with development leads and architects to determine which business features are being developed and how our on-premises environments need to be structured. Ensure that infrastructure topics are clearly defined and that the roadmap translates this effectively into our test environments.
- Infrastructure Design: Collaborate closely with architects to design robust, scalable infrastructure solutions that meet business needs.
- Resource Allocation: Identify and allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure successful infrastructure delivery.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the single point of contact (SPOC) for GDC to address all GTS and CISO requirements.
- Project Planning: Develop and maintain project plans for infrastructure deliveries, outlining tasks, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize the impact on project timelines and deliverables.
- Quality Assurance: Implement control measures to ensure infrastructure deliveries meet GDC requirements.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including reports, technical specifications, and project deliverables.
- Autonomy and Leadership: Work autonomously, organizing, coordinating, and planning activities independently according to stakeholder constraints.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and drive initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of infrastructure delivery.
- Change Management: Facilitate change management, including impact assessment, communication to stakeholders, and successful implementation.
- Environment Management: Collaborate with various squads to understand their business requirements and environment needs. Analyze and document business requirements to determine environment specifications.
- Technical Translation: Translate business requirements into technical requirements for environment setup. Design, implement, and maintain environments to support various squads.
- Optimization: Ensure environments are optimized for performance, security, and scalability. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for environment-related issues.
- Compliance: Ensure that the IT solution complies with enterprise architecture standards and business needs. Establish prototypes/proof of concepts to validate key components of proposed new architecture.
- Effort Estimation: Estimate effort to implement solutions at the Tribe level. Present proposed solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support and Coaching: Support Product Owners in preparing features and translating them into workable PBIs for delivery teams. Coach and support delivery teams in implementing features and PBIs in line with the architectural solution.
- Design Reviews: Perform design reviews to ensure functional and technical consistency of solutions.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in environment setup and maintenance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Proficiency in translating business requirements into technical specifications.
- Knowledge of environment management tools and technologies.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- More than 5 years’ experience in designing solutions in a distributed environment.
- Preferably proven experience in developing solutions with Microsoft technologies.
- Experience in delivering multi-platform designs.
- Assertiveness in driving tasks to completion.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with cloud environments and virtualization technologies.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
- Understanding of security best practices in environment management.
- Experience in the Financial Services industry is desired but not essential.
