Launch your career in civil and environmental engineering with our team as an Environmental Engineer, Early Career. In this role, you'll learn from experienced design professionals while contributing to a variety of projects including industrial wastewater treatment, stream and wetland restoration, stormwater management and modeling, and other environmental infrastructure projects for clients in the region. You’ll develop your skillset across design, field work, and technical analysis while working alongside experienced mentors who are invested in your professional growth. This role offers hands-on exposure to environmental and civil engineering, construction plan preparation, and site observation, giving you comprehensive experience across the full project lifecycle.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with senior engineers in performing general site development design and permitting for both industrial and recreational facilities projects
- Assist with evaluation, permitting and design of industrial process water and wastewater development and treatment systems
- Assist with the design of stormwater management facilities, including calculations for sizing of such systems including hydrologic and hydraulic analysis.
- Assist in the production of visual graphics, reports, and tables summarizing the inputs and outputs of design calculations and engineering models
- Gain exposure to project permitting and construction observation
- Learn and apply industry standards, design software, and engineering best practices in a mentoring-focused environment
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related engineering field from an ABET-accredited program required
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Engineer Intern registration or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
- 0 -2 years of related environmental engineering experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD or similar drafting software preferred
- Adaptable and self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset as well as a proactive approach to problem solving
