The field HSE specialist offers expert knowledge and skills in order to generate and promote a positive health and safety culture. This represents a key role in helping control occupational risk on the rig.

In this role, you will be ensuring the well-being of our workforce and compliance of HSE on-site. You will build relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure requirements are met. You will provide solutions and help to develop your team and continuous improvement of our HSE.
As an environmental health & safety specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Managing, applying and ensuring adherence with client and BH HSE policies and procedures, and assisting the contracted services to comply with the same.
- Promoting, with the management, a safety culture within the workplace in accordance with industry best practices.
- Leading or participating effectively in the site various HSE meetings, presenting safety data and statistics, communicating HSE alerts and lessons learnt, and discussing issues related to HSE with the crew.
- Performing, verifying and following up with site inspections as required. Ensuring that all inspections are performed in accordance with client and BH requirements, and generating a remedial work plan (RWP) for non-compliance.
- Monitoring the work environment and watching out for the safety of all workers to protect them from entering hazardous situations, particularly during work performed under specific PTW requirements.
- Reporting all incidents, accidents and near misses immediately and leading the investigation and analysis process. Compiling incident reports and communicating the investigation results as required.
- Conducting site HSE inductions for all crew and visitors.
- Ensuring all crew are certified as per client and BH training matrices, and conducting refresher training as required.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent; higher education is an advantage.
- Have NEBOSH IGC certification, which is mandatory.
- Have a minimum of 5 years experience in drilling rig operations.
- Be familiar with rig ARAMCO HSE requirements.
