Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced EHS Manager to manage and coordinate Environmental, Health and Safety matters for our electrical, power, rail, and infrastructure projects in Singapore.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, client standards, and company procedures, while supporting safe and efficient project execution across multiple project sites.

Key Responsibilities
1. EHS Management & Compliance

  • Manage and monitor EHS implementation across project sites.
  • Ensure compliance with Singapore WSH regulations, environmental requirements, client standards, and company procedures.
  • Review and monitor Risk Assessments, Safe Work Procedures, Method Statements, Permit to Work, and other EHS requirements.
  • Provide practical EHS guidance and support to project teams.


2. Site Safety & Subcontractor Management

  • Conduct site inspections, safety audits, risk assessments, and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Monitor high risk activities and ensure appropriate safety measures are properly implemented.
  • Monitor subcontractors and site personnel to ensure compliance with project safety and environmental requirements.
  • Follow up on unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, non compliance, and rectification matters until closure.


3. Incident, Reporting & Environmental Control

  • Lead or support accident, incident, and near miss investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Prepare EHS reports, inspection records, incident reports, and other required documentation.
  • Monitor environmental controls including waste management, noise, dust, and pollution prevention measures.
  • Maintain proper EHS records and compliance documentation.


4. Training & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Conduct safety briefings, toolbox meetings, inductions, and relevant EHS training.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, project teams, and relevant authorities on EHS matters.
  • Attend safety meetings, inspections, audits, and site reviews where required.
  • Support multiple projects and promote good safety awareness and practices across project teams.


Requirements

  • Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) in Singapore.
  • Certified Environmental Control Officer (ECO) in Singapore.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant EHS experience in construction, infrastructure, electrical, power, rail, MRT, or large scale engineering projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore WSH regulations, environmental requirements, and site safety practices.
  • Experience in site inspections, risk management, incident investigation, subcontractor management, and compliance follow up.
  • Good communication, coordination, and report writing skills.
  • Able to work independently and support multiple project sites.


Preferred Experience

  • Experience in LTA, MRT, rail, or public infrastructure projects will be a strong advantage.
  • Experience in electrical, power supply, or railway system projects will be advantageous.
  • Familiarity with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, or bizSAFE requirements will be beneficial.
