ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION SPECIALIST-DIRECT HIRE AUTHORITY

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the primary environmental program manager to perform management, execution and operations for assigned program element(s).

Plans, develops, coordinates, and directs environmental management and protection programs for AEDC. Responsible for executing assigned program elements to comply with all applicable Federal, State, and local environmental laws and policies. Responsible for communicating and coordinating environmental issues with superiors, team members, higher headquarters, regulatory agencies, other installation units, community and other officials, and/or interest groups. Prepares and/or reviews identification, documentation and communication of environmental concerns for test plans, construction projects, and test mission set-up.
