Environmental Resources Specialist I - Water Resources

These positions are part of a multidisciplinary team and offer the opportunity to work collaboratively with engineers, architects, planners, regulatory agencies, and other environmental professionals on a wide range of projects. We are looking for experienced people with a background in wetlands and natural resources to join our Water Resources team in our Schaumburg and Vernon Hills, IL offices.

How you will make an impact:

The Environmental Resources Specialist I will report to the Project Manager or Senior Environmental Project Manager and assist in environmental tasks for a wide variety of engineering projects. This role is an exempt, salary position with straight overtime. We offer a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in conducting wetland delineations and preparing reports.

• Collect data, operate GIS applications, and prepare GIS maps and exhibits.

• Assist in completing permitting documentation as necessary such as USACE, LCSMC, MWRD, etc.

• Assist in the management of the MS4 program as necessary.
