Environmental Services Aide

The Environmental Services Aide is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors at Montrose Health Center. This position plays an important role in infection prevention, resident satisfaction, and maintaining a welcoming, homelike environment.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, common areas, offices, and other designated areas.

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect surfaces according to facility cleaning schedules.

• Follow proper infection prevention and control procedures, including appropriate use of cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Collect and properly dispose of trash and waste.

• Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces and shared equipment.

• Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment, and cleaning supplies in a clean, organized, and safe manner.

• Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and damaged equipment to the appropriate personnel.

• Respect residents' privacy, dignity, personal belongings, and individual preferences while performing cleaning duties.

• Assist with room preparation for new admissions, discharges, and room changes.

• Complete assigned cleaning schedules and documentation as required.

• Work collaboratively with the Environmental Services team and other departments.

• Perform additional duties as assigned to support facility operations.
