The role of the Environmental Compliance & Sustainability Manager is to assist in the management of the environmental programs, which include air quality, water quality, and solid wastes issues, to ensure that the company complies with all federal, state, and local regulations.
Compliance, Audit & Recordkeeping
Collaborate with consultants, Engineering Department, and EHS Director to prepare, obtain and renew all plant environmental permit applications, including but not limited to:
Lead efforts to ensure compliance with all applicable Federal, State and Local Environmental regulations
Evaluate hazards within the facilities for environmental risks
Manage environmental records and documents so they are always accessible according to regulations
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the EHS Director
- Demonstrable experience in project management, site investigation, data evaluation, validation and visualization, due diligence, report preparation, report review, interaction of environmental conditions and regulations
- Candidates must be well versed in state and federal environmental regulations and applications.
- Ability to synthesize data and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with others
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal skills.
- Motivated self-starter and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Exemplify safe work practices and follow the company's compliance standards.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science or Environmental discipline from an accredited institution
- Working knowledge of TSCA, Tier II, RCRA, EPCRA and air permitting (non-title V)
- Minimum of 5 years working in an Environmental Compliance role
- Minimum of 3 years working in a Manufacturing environment
- Ability to work in US without Company sponsorship
- Master’s degree in environmental or chemical Engineering
- Experience working in Chemical manufacturing industry
- Experience in industrial waste disposal processes
- Experience in sustainability tools (footprint etc.)
