EPAM - Senior Java Full Stack Software Engineer - React.js/Microservices Architecture

Role Overview :

As a Full Stack Java Developer, you will be responsible for migrating the front-end screens of the portware trading platform from Java Swing, as well as backend Java to support it. You will work closely with the client's development team to ensure a seamless transition and deliver an enhanced user experience for institutional buy-side clients. This is an on-site role based in Hyderabad.

Responsibilities :

- Anticipated 70% time dedicated to Java backend development + 30% time dedicated to Front-end development.

- Implement changes to Java backend to support the migration of Front end and added capabilities.

- Assist in the migration of user interface components from Java Swing, ensuring consistency, functionality, and performance.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.

- Engage with financial services clients to gather requirements, provide updates, and incorporate feedback.

- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.

- Conduct thorough testing and debugging of migrated components.

- Identify and address performance bottlenecks to optimize application speed.

- Maintain detailed documentation of the development process, including migration plans and technical specifications.

Requirements :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

- Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in backend Java, plus React or Angular development.

- Proficiency in backend Java, TypeScript, and experience with RESTful APIs.

- Proven experience in migrating applications from Java Swing or similar technologies to modern JavaScript frameworks is highly desirable.

- Strong knowledge of Financial Services domain.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice to have :

- Relevant certifications in Java, React, or Angular.
