EPD Project Manager (Community Recycling Network) | URGENT

Our client is currently recruiting a Project Officer for Supporting the Management and Coordination of Community Recycling Network

REQUIREMENT:

1. Have a Hong Kong bachelor’s degree or above in a relevant science, engineering or equivalent;

2. Have at least six (6) years’ full-time post-graduate working experience in waste reduction, waste recovery/recycling, waste facilities management, environmental education or related environmental domains, of which at least three (3) years’ working experience in contract management and project coordination in the capacity of a supervisory role in Government, and;

3. Have met the language proficiency requirement of Level 3 (see Note) or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent; OR met the language proficiency requirements of ‘Level 2’ results in the two language papers (Use of Chinese and Use of English) in the CRE, or equivalent;

   [Note: “Grade C” in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to “Level 3” in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth];

4. Good English and Chinese writing skills, fluency in spoken English and Cantonese and proficiency in Putonghua;

5. Good communication and interpersonal skills;

6. Good data analysis, project coordination and presentation Skills.

DUTIES:

• To develop, plan and coordinate data or other necessary information to enhance the efficiency of the Recycling Stores and Recycling Stations;

• To foster collaboration among stakeholders and align stakeholder expectations with project goals and deliverables;

• To develop, procure, manage the contracts and monitor the operation of the Recycling Stores and Recycling Stations, including monitoring contractors’ compliance with contract requirements and vetting submissions of the facility operators;

• To perform a supervisory role in site inspections to the Recycling Stores and Recycling Stations, and their related events/activities for compliance check;

• To assist in policy formulation, strategic planning, and programme development of community recycling network;

• To provide professional input in responding to public enquiries and complaints concerning community recycling network;

• To prepare and manage the contracts of facilities enhancement for community recycling network;

• To prepare and update papers, information notes, guidelines, presentation decks and other necessary materials in relation to the community recycling network; and

• To perform any other duties assigned as appropriate.
