This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Epic HB / PB Analyst based in the United States.
This full-time remote role is an opportunity to support and optimize critical Epic revenue cycle applications within a complex healthcare environment. You will contribute to the design, configuration, testing, implementation, and ongoing support of Hospital Billing and Professional Billing solutions. The position combines deep Epic expertise with healthcare revenue cycle knowledge, technical analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. You will help translate operational needs into effective system solutions while maintaining stability, quality, and usability. The role provides significant exposure to implementations, upgrades, optimization initiatives, vendor coordination, and high-visibility projects. You will work independently while partnering with clinical, operational, technical, and project teams to improve enterprise workflows and end-user experiences.
Accountabilities
- Design and configure Epic solutions: Analyze business needs and complete system build and development activities for assigned Epic applications, translating approved specifications into reliable configurations.
- Support Hospital and Professional Billing: Configure and optimize Resolute Hospital Billing, Claims, Electronic Remittance, Contracts, Hospice Claims, Resolute Professional Billing, Charge Router, and related integrations as applicable.
- Lead requirements and solution analysis: Evaluate current-state processes, identify systemic or workflow issues, develop alternative solutions, and guide teams through technical and business-process analysis.
- Manage testing and quality: Develop comprehensive test plans, perform unit testing, participate in integrated testing, validate system components, track issues, and ensure builds meet defined specifications.
- Support implementations and upgrades: Develop project plans for small- to medium-sized initiatives, contribute to high-complexity implementations, coordinate technical activities, and support go-live planning and execution.
- Provide technical expertise: Serve as a subject-matter expert for assigned applications, advise project teams on technical constraints and impacts, and provide recommendations that protect system stability.
- Coordinate stakeholders and vendors: Support vendor-selection activities, functional comparisons, demonstrations, contracts, statements of work, and cross-functional requests requiring coordinated resolution.
- Support end users: Act as a primary technical resource for system issues, monitor incident tickets, troubleshoot problems, communicate updates, and help users adopt new functionality effectively.
- Drive optimization and change management: Proactively identify opportunities to improve workflows and system performance while coordinating change-management and optimization activities.
- Develop documentation and training: Maintain detailed system documentation, write design specifications, contribute to training materials, and participate in training sessions and knowledge-transfer activities.
- Coordinate go-live activities: Help develop detailed deployment plans, coordinate resources, provide troubleshooting and training support, and assist teams during go-live events.
- Maintain professional expertise: Keep current with Epic capabilities, healthcare technology developments, and industry trends while communicating project progress and key issues to leadership.
- Education and experience: 2–3 years of experience in healthcare information technology application development, training, and implementation.
- Epic expertise: At least 5 years of Epic experience, with demonstrated proficiency in the assigned application area.
- Epic certifications: At least two active Epic certifications are required, with additional certifications relevant to the supported modules.
- Hospital Billing expertise: Experience with Epic Resolute Hospital Billing, Claims, Electronic Remittance, Contracts, and/or Hospice Claims is highly relevant, along with an understanding of hospital revenue cycle workflows and billing operations.
- Professional Billing expertise: Experience with Resolute Professional Billing and Charge Router, including knowledge of ambulatory revenue cycle workflows, charging, claims, remittances, and related third-party applications.
- Technical and analytical skills: Ability to analyze complex system and process issues, develop alternative solutions, write detailed specifications, and understand technical impacts on existing environments.
- Project skills: Experience contributing to or leading system implementations, upgrades, testing, optimization, and change-management initiatives.
- Communication: Strong ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, vendors, project managers, and end users at all organizational levels.
- Independence and ownership: Comfortable executing assignments with minimal supervision, managing priorities independently, and taking ownership of complex technical work.
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with other certified analysts and cross-functional teams to resolve issues and deliver enterprise-wide solutions.
- Quality mindset: Strong attention to detail and commitment to system accuracy, documentation, quality assurance, and continuous improvement.
- Work authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
