Epic Metric Development Consultant
Summary
Builds and maintains healthcare metrics, KPIs, reports, and dashboards from Epic EHR data to support clinical and operational decision-making. Works with Epic analytics tools (Cogito, Clarity, Caboodle, Radar, Reporting Workbench), SQL, and possibly Power BI/Tableau, ensuring HIPAA-compliant data governance. Based in Chennai, on-site.
We are looking for an experienced Epic Metric Development Consultant with strong knowledge of healthcare data, Epic EHR systems, and clinical and operational metric development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing healthcare metrics, reports, and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making and improve clinical and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, configure, and maintain healthcare metrics using Epic data.
- Design and develop clinical and operational KPIs to measure healthcare performance.
- Create reports, dashboards, and scorecards to monitor key performance indicators.
- Work with Epic reporting and analytics tools such as Cogito, Clarity, Caboodle, Radar, and Reporting Workbench.
- Analyze healthcare data related to patient care, clinical outcomes, physician productivity, and hospital operations.
- Collaborate with clinical, operational, and technical teams to understand reporting requirements.
- Perform data validation, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Identify opportunities to improve existing metrics and reporting processes.
- Document metric definitions, calculation logic, and reporting specifications.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare data governance and HIPAA requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in Epic EHR reporting, analytics, or metric development.
- Hands-on experience developing healthcare metrics and KPIs.
- Knowledge of Epic Cogito, Clarity, Caboodle, Radar, or Reporting Workbench.
- Strong SQL and healthcare data analysis skills.
- Experience developing clinical and operational dashboards and reports.
- Understanding of healthcare workflows and clinical data.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Epic Clarity certification is a must.
- Epic certification in relevant reporting or analytics modules.
- Experience with Power BI or Tableau.
- Knowledge of healthcare quality measures and performance indicators.
- Experience working with hospitals, healthcare organizations, or clinical teams.
