Epic OpTime & Anesthesia Analyst
Summary
Remote 3-month contract (extendable) as an Epic OpTime & Anesthesia analyst supporting upgrade, optimization, and device-integration projects in a pediatric health system: Epic build, testing, training, go-live, and production support, with onsite travel about once a month. Core tech: Epic OpTime, Anesthesia, Perfusion, and device integrations (Alaris, MRI).

We are seeking an experienced Epic OpTime & Anesthesia Analyst to support a variety of upgrade, optimization, integration, and implementation initiatives within a pediatric healthcare environment. This consultant will provide hands-on Epic build, testing, training, go-live, and production support while collaborating with clinical, technical, and operational stakeholders.
This is an initial three-month engagement with the possibility of extension. The role is primarily remote but requires onsite support approximately once per month.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Epic upgrade activities, including Anesthesia-related Nova Note review, system build, testing, training, go-live, and post-go-live support.
- Partner with SureTest resources to develop, review, and maintain workflow test scripts.
- Support the implementation of the Multicenter Perioperative Outcomes Group.
- Assist with Pediatric Anesthesia Resource Center optimization initiatives.
- Evaluate and optimize preoperative workflows and Epic functionality.
- Support Epic Perfusion module optimization, reporting, and analytics.
- Assist with the installation and device integration of a new MRI system at the main hospital.
- Support Alaris pump integration with Epic, including workflow validation, testing, and issue resolution.
- Complete assigned Epic enhancement requests, system updates, troubleshooting, and production support.
- Collaborate with anesthesia providers, perioperative teams, clinical engineering, technical teams, and other stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, testing materials, training resources, and workflow documentation.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience supporting Epic OpTime and Anesthesia applications.
- Experience with Epic upgrades, Nova Note review, build, testing, training, go-live, and production support.
- Strong understanding of perioperative, anesthesia, and preoperative clinical workflows.
- Experience developing or supporting workflow test scripts.
- Experience with Epic optimization and enhancement initiatives.
- Knowledge of clinical device integration within an Epic environment.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with clinical, operational, technical, and vendor teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Willingness and ability to travel onsite approximately once per month.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current Epic OpTime and/or Anesthesia certification.
- Experience with the Epic Perfusion module.
- Experience supporting Alaris pump integration with Epic.
- Experience with MRI or other clinical device integrations.
- Experience with Multicenter Perioperative Outcomes Group implementation.
- Experience supporting pediatric anesthesia or perioperative environments.
