This is a hands-on, senior individual-contributor role within a small IT team, reporting to the VP of Information Systems. The ideal candidate will bring strong Epicor administration and development experience and enjoy working closely with Manufacturing, Finance, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and other functional teams.
The organization has been running Epicor for 15+ years and currently operates Epicor ERP 10 in an on-premises environment. This is an opportunity to become a key technical resource for a critical enterprise system while helping shape its long-term architecture, supportability, security, and performance.
U.S. Citizenship is required due to ITAR regulations.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain Epicor environments, including application servers, task agents, application pools, schedulers, background processes, and related services.
  • Manage Epicor user security, including user access, security groups, menu permissions, field-level security, plant/site permissions, functional roles, and segregation-of-duties controls.
  • Plan, test, document, and execute Epicor upgrades, patches, hotfixes, environment refreshes, and deployments across development, test, and production environments.
  • Develop and maintain Epicor solutions including BAQs, BPMs, Method Directives, Data Directives, Dashboards, SSRS Reports, integrations, and approved customizations.
  • Support SQL Server performance and reliability through query analysis, troubleshooting, performance tuning, data investigation, and coordination of backup/recovery activities.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, logs, scheduled processes, interfaces, and integrations while diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
  • Automate repetitive administrative and support tasks using PowerShell, SQL, Epicor tools, APIs, and other approved technologies.
  • Provide advanced technical support and root-cause analysis for Epicor-related issues.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation covering environments, configurations, security, integrations, customizations, recovery procedures, and support processes.
  • Partner with functional teams to translate approved business requirements into secure, scalable, and supportable technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and support partners when necessary to resolve complex issues and implement system enhancements.
  • Advocate for standard Epicor functionality and sustainable solutions while minimizing unnecessary customization and long-term technical debt.
