Junior Equity Derivatives Sales

Position Summary

Mizuho is seeking an Analyst to support the Equity Derivatives Sales team. The role will focus on the execution, processing, pricing, and lifecycle management of structured product and derivative transactions for institutional, insurance and 3rd party distributor clients. The Analyst will work closely with Sales, Trading, Structuring, Legal and Operations to ensure transactions are processed accurately and efficiently. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop into a junior sales role through direct client exposure and participation in business development activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the pricing and execution of structured product and derivative transactions.
  • Coordinate trade, post-trade and lifecycle workflows across internal stakeholders and external counterparties.
  • Review trade details, pricing, and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with pricing, payoff analysis, and client materials.
  • Support insurance-related transactions and structured investment solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows and reduce operational risk.
  • Monitor competitive positioning, platform coverage gaps, and market share across U.S. wealth distribution channels
  • Ensure all activities comply with internal risk policies and U.S. regulatory requirements.
  • Support automation efforts, new application projects and system upgrades to improve processes and increase efficiency.

Qualifications

  • FINRA Series SIE, 7 and 63
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in derivatives, structured products, capital markets, or a related area preferred.
  • Strong communication, analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Strong understanding of structured notes, derivatives and underlying asset classes
  • Advanced Excel skills; Python or VBA experience preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The expected base salary ranges from $100,000- $130,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
