Equipment Engineer - CMP
Support the stable operation of CMP equipment within a semiconductor wafer fabrication environment. The role covers equipment maintenance, fault recovery, performance improvement and shift-based production support.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot equipment faults and restore tools to production promptly.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Monitor tool availability, reliability and overall performance.
- Investigate recurring failures and implement lasting corrective actions.
- Improve equipment capability, productivity and operating costs.
- Maintain technical procedures, troubleshooting guides and maintenance records.
- Plan spare-parts and consumable requirements within the approved budget.
- Support new equipment installation, commissioning and production ramp-up.
- Participate in equipment improvement and cost-of-ownership initiatives.
- Train and provide technical guidance to Assistant Engineers.
- Maintain compliance with quality, safety and housekeeping standards.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics Engineering; or a relevant Diploma with at least four years of semiconductor equipment maintenance experience.
- At least 1-3 years of relevant semiconductor experience; fresh graduates may be considered.
- Experience with high-vacuum systems and basic wafer-fabrication equipment knowledge.
- Able to interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics.
- Willing to work rotating shifts.
